Tony Khan Reveals Never-Before-Heard Details on Young Bucks Attack

Tony Khan discussed The Young Bucks’ attack on him during an appearance on Sedano & Kap. The AEW President clarified that the physical assault was not a planned storyline element.

That was not by design. I was a victim of the spike piledriver, the deadliest move in professional wrestling.

Khan emphasized the power struggle aspect behind the storyline.

They are the Executive Vice Presidents of the company, along with Kenny Omega. And they were trying to make a power play. I’m the President, they wanted to control the business, so they put me down.

The aftermath of the attack became widely discussed when Khan appeared at the NFL draft wearing a neck brace. This visual representation of his storyline injury generated significant attention.

Khan also described the subsequent events involving Darby Allin coming to his defense.

Wrestlers went out for revenge, a man was set on fire. Jack Perry, Hollywood royalty himself, the son of Luke Perry, was set on fire by Darby Allin, coming to my aid.

The Young Bucks’ maneuver is now referred to as the “TK Driver” within AEW programming. This name directly references the AEW President who was on the receiving end of the move.
