A top AEW star has just become a triple crown champion after a triumphant win at the Tokyo Dome at Wrestle Dynasty. The victory came at the end of a high-stakes contest just moments ago.
Mercedes Moné and Mina Shirakawa took center stage tonight at the pay-per-view in a winner-takes-all match. The NJPW Strong Women’s Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship were both on the line.
The CEO and The Venus have known each other for years now, and it was only fitting that their first singles match took place at one of the most iconic arenas in the world. It was a hard-hitting contest, with Shirakawa being in control for the majority of the match. She constantly went after Moné’s knee to gain the upper hand.
The Japanese star hit an array of moves, including her Glamorous Drive MINA finisher, but this was still not enough to put the AEW star away. After a series of roll-ups leading to near falls, The CEO was able to transition into her Moné Maker finisher, which was enough for the win.
With this win, she now holds championships from three different major promotions from different continents in the world, AEW, NJPW, and now RevPro. It remains to be seen who will be the one to take her down.
