Former AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin recently revealed Gunther’s chop is the second-worst he has ever received. The Ring General is the current World Heavyweight Champion.
Darby Allin and Gunther went toe-to-toe on the independent circuit before both stars moved to AEW and WWE, respectively. The Ring General is famous for the deadly chops he brutalizes his opponents with. However, Darby Allin still named him second to House of Black’s Brody King.
Over the past few months, Darby Allin and Brody King have had some brutal matches in AEW. In a recent chat with KQ2, The Daredevil explained the impact of King’s chop and put him before Gunther on the list of worst chops he had ever received.
“So people ask me what’s the worst chop I’ve ever taken in wrestling but I would say his [Gunther] is the second but Brody King is the first by far. I feel like my heart stops when Brody chops me. I would say Brody first Gunther second and then I don’t really know who’s third but those two definitely stand out.” [6:56 – 7:22]
AEW star Darby Allin wants to bring live stunts back to TV
Darby Allin is known for taking some of the most dangerous bumps during his matches in All Elite Wrestling. He was set to climb Mount Everest earlier this year. However, a foot injury prevented that from happening. Allin plans on climbing the mountain next year.
On the Chaz & AJ Morning Show on 99.1 PLR, Darby Allin revealed that he wanted to do live stunts on television, including jumping a car over a pile of buses.
“That’s a big thing that I actually want to do when I get back from Everest. I want to have a live stunt on TV where we have a bunch of buses lined up and I jump a car over them. I think there needs to be something like that again. In the world of TV, just like, ‘At the top of the hour, will he die?’ [Laughs],” he said.
We will have to wait and see what crazy moves Darby Allin has planned for his future matches in All Elite Wrestling.
