Top WWE name open to managerial role alongside Kevin Owens

Cathy Kelley, who recently claimed to have been saved by Kevin Owens, would be willing to be his manager in WWE.

Top WWE name open to managerial role alongside Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens launched an attack on Cody Rhodes backstage at WWE Bad Blood. His heel turn has shown a darker side of The Prizefighter in recent weeks. Given WWE’s tendency to pair villainous characters with managers, speculation points to a potential partnership between Owens and RAW backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley.

Kelley and Owens share a close friendship, having co-hosted The Cathy Kelley and Kevin Owens Show on YouTube. The possibility gained traction after Kelley expressed interest in taking on a managerial position during a conversation with B4TheBell.

“I would definitely be open to managing if it is the right pairing. That is something that I would love to grow into, whether that’s tomorrow or a decade down the line because I do see myself involved in WWE and wrestling in some way throughout my entire career,” Kelley said.

Kelley previously served as an honorary member of the Undisputed Era in NXT. She joined WWE NXT in 2019 but departed in February 2020 to pursue acting, appearing in Netflix’s #blackAF. She returned to WWE in October 2022 as a RAW interviewer and later began co-hosting The KO Show with Owens.

Kelley credits Owens for protection during Saudi Arabia accident

Their friendship was put to the test during a frightening incident before Crown Jewel 2024. Kelley revealed details of a dangerous dune buggy accident in Saudi Arabia that could have ended badly if not for Owens’ quick response.

“He’s been one of my friends for years. I’ve had many conversations with him off camera. We just got into a kind of traumatizing accident when we were in Saudi Arabia when we were in a dune buggy. I kind of credit him for saving my life in that moment. We rolled three and a half times in a dune buggy. He said his initial instinct was to protect me. I was holding onto a safety rail, he was right behind me. We could have gotten much more banged up than we did. We were really lucky that we walked out of it relatively unscathed,” Kelley shared on B4TheBell.

The incident occurred shortly before Owens became involved in controversies with Randy Orton and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
