Triple H engaged in a physical confrontation with Kevin Owens during Saturday Night’s Main Event’s post-show segment. Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci questioned whether the Chief Content Officer faced repercussions from upper management for the incident.
The altercation occurred after Owens attacked Cody Rhodes following their Undisputed WWE Championship match. As Owens stood on the stage with the title belt, Triple H approached him, leading to a shoving match that required referee intervention.
“I was surprised at the physicality but there was no follow-up tonight. They showed the package of Cody getting hammered there but they never showed the aftermath or talked about any repercussions between Triple H and KO,” Carlucci said on Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast.
Carlucci emphasized that Triple H initiated the physical contact. “Is he in trouble? Maybe upper management saw Triple H as a senior guy, you know, you’re an executive there, you can’t be hitting talent. He struck Kevin Owens. I know he didn’t like what he did to Cody but he actually initiated the whole violent thing.”
When discussing the possibility of Triple H returning to in-ring competition, both Carlucci and wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman dismissed the idea. “No, he’s not. He’s not wrestling,” Carlucci stated.
