WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared several updates during Tuesday’s WWE event at Netflix headquarters in Los Angeles, including the surprising announcement of Pat McAfee’s return to the broadcast team and insights into Drew McIntyre’s recent RAW appearance.
“Letting the cat out of the bag a little bit right now, Pat’s actually about to come back with us here, full-time on Monday Night Raw,” Triple H revealed during the media event, confirming McAfee’s return to the commentary desk.
The WWE executive also addressed Drew McIntyre’s return to television following his absence since the Bad Blood event in October. “He was dying to come back. He wasn’t hurt, he wasn’t injured. Let’s just give you a little breather here for a second,” Triple H explained, highlighting the company’s strategic approach to talent rotation.
Triple H emphasized WWE’s current creative freedom, noting the collaborative environment within the company. “There’s nobody saying you can’t do that. There’s nobody putting a thumb on it. We’re all just working together. There’s no bad ideas. We’re just all having a blast doing it.”

As WWE prepares for its historic move to Netflix in January 2025, company executives have addressed speculation about potential content changes. WWE President Nick Khan confirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining its current programming style.
“We’re not changing the rating of our programming,” Khan stated firmly, dispelling rumors about potential shifts toward edgier content. “It’s family friendly, multi-generational, advertiser friendly programming. It’s gonna stay that way.”
