Triple H has released previously unseen footage capturing CM Punk’s historic return to WWE at last year’s Survivor Series: WarGames in Chicago. The WWE Chief Content Officer shared the intimate moments on Instagram, documenting Punk’s first moments back with the company after a decade-long absence.

“The night that froze hell, broke the internet… and changed everything,” Triple H wrote, directing fans to watch the full video on WWE’s YouTube channel.

The footage shows Punk entering the backstage area with Bruce Prichard, greeting Stephanie McMahon and various WWE personnel. Several superstars, including Bayley and Shotzi, were captured reacting to the shocking moment. “What a way to do it,” Shotzi remarked, while Bayley rushed to welcome her longtime friend back.

CM Punk and Randy Orton’s simultaneous returns created memorable moment

The behind-the-scenes video revealed an amusing interaction between CM Punk and Randy Orton, who both made their returns on the same night. “Can I not enjoy 10 minutes of my f—ing return,” Orton joked when seeing Punk.

Notably absent from the footage were Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre’s reactions. McIntyre addressed his real-life tensions with Punk in an October interview, stating, “You can feel the tension when him and I are near each other. We have to be professionals and do our job.” Their rivalry culminated in several matches, including encounters at the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40.
