Jade Cargill screams high-profile WWE Superstar. This was evident right off the bat as her signing in the fall of 2023 created significant buzz despite her in-ring debut date not being disclosed at the time. Jade took her own sweet time to step inside the squared circle, and once she did, the former AEW TBS Champion made an impact quickly by forming a powerhouse tag team with Bianca Belair.

Having spent almost an entire year at the top of the women’s tag team division alongside The EST, Cargill appeared destined to square off with her partner at WrestleMania 41. While this was never officially teased by World Wrestling Entertainment, it had become a ubiquitous expectation as the year drew to a close.

Unfortunately, Jade Cargill’s recent injury is reportedly legitimate, and there has been a shocking revelation. According to Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr. Chris Featherstone, The Storm will be out for the rest of the year in order to heal up.

“Jade Cargill’s injuries are indeed legitimate, and she is not booked to return to #WWE for the rest of the year in order to heal up,” he wrote.

Jade Cargill suffered multiple injuries on WWE SmackDown

The November 22, 2024, episode of SmackDown featured a segment in which Jade Cargill was seen brutally battered and left lying on the bonnet of a car. She was originally scheduled to compete in the WWE Women’s Championship tournament and was also set to join Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, and Naomi for the WarGames match last Saturday.

However, the 32-year-old was replaced by Bayley. Naturally, it sparked rumblings among the WWE Universe about who could be behind the attack. The company announced that the former TBS Champion suffered multiple injuries, including a bruised Kidney, a Tibial Plateau Bone Bruise of her right knee, a Sprained MCL in her right knee, and Facial Lacerations.

Regarding The EST and The Storm’s highly anticipated showdown, many are fairly certain they will pull off a strong contest considering their credentials, especially Belair, who has been a staple of the Stamford-based promotion for many years. However, their run as Women’s Tag Team Champions has left a lot to be desired.

With Jade Cargill seemingly out of the picture, how Bianca Belair fits into the puzzle heading towards WrestleMania 41 bears watching.
