Update on Kevin Owens’ contract status with WWE points to potential re-signing

Kevin Owens’ contract status with WWE has become clearer as industry sources suggest a likely contract extension beyond its reported early 2025 expiration date.

Owens, who currently portrays himself as the ‘true’ WWE Champion, has maintained a prominent position in major storylines. While there had been uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal, earlier reports indicated that WWE considers him a valuable asset to their roster and aims to secure his services for several more years.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp provided insight into the situation during a recent podcast:

It’s safe to assume at this point, though he noted he hasn’t received explicit confirmation that Owens has re-signed with WWE.

Triple H may appoint enforcer to protect Nick Aldis

Recent events involving Kevin Owens have escalated tensions within WWE’s management structure, particularly following his confrontation with Triple H at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Owens has already forced Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes off television through targeted attacks with his piledriver finisher.

On SmackDown, Owens delivered a message implying future actions for which he would hold WWE responsible. His latest video package suggested potential plans involving SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, whom he holds responsible for his championship loss at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

This situation could prompt Triple H to assign protection for Aldis. Omos, who has not appeared on WWE programming since April 5, 2024, emerges as a potential candidate given his previous experience as Shane McMahon’s enforcer during RAW Underground.
