“We’re not hiding what we do” – Triple H opens up after first RAW on Netflix

Triple H defended WWE’s decision to incorporate wrestling insider terminology in RAW’s Netflix premiere cold open. The Chief Content Officer addressed the discussion during the post-show media scrum, emphasizing WWE’s commitment to authenticity in its new era.

Regarding the use of terms like “shoot,” “face,” and “heel,” Levesque explained the creative direction:

The reaction seems like we did a good job with it. That was the intent, to capture the emotion and let people know, we’re not hiding what we do.

The WWE executive elaborated on the company’s approach to presenting professional wrestling:

It was all part of trying to capture that and say, ‘If you’ve watched, watch this and hopefully we honor what you love. If you’ve never watched this, watch this, we’ll explain to you what we are.’

SmackDown to return to two-hour format

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Triple H confirmed upcoming changes to SmackDown’s broadcast format. When asked about the show’s recent expansion to three hours, Levesque provided clarity:

Yes, for right now [it is three hours], and then it switches back to two.

The blue brand’s three-hour format is expected to be temporary, with reports suggesting a return to its traditional two-hour runtime by July.
