Despite AEW Double or Nothing 2025 being imminent, Wardlow is reportedly not scheduled to appear on the May 25 pay-per-view, according to information from Fightful Select. This development means the former TNT Champion’s absence from AEW programming will extend beyond 14 months.
Wardlow’s most recent match in AEW took place in March 2024 at Dynamite: Big Business, where he unsuccessfully challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. His last televised appearance was in May 2024, during the period leading up to that year’s Double or Nothing, when he was seen accompanying the Undisputed Kingdom.
The Fightful Select report also indicated there is currently no information regarding a specific timeline for Wardlow’s return to AEW or any creative plans for his involvement in significant future storylines. He remains on an extended hiatus from the company.
It also appears Wardlow is no longer associated with the Undisputed Kingdom. That group has reportedly rebranded as Paragon, now operating as a trio composed of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong.
The circumstances surrounding the 37-year-old Wardlow’s booking and the nature of his eventual reintroduction to AEW remain undetermined at this time.
