Wrestling Veteran Accuses Triple H of Favoritism; Calls Former WWE Champion “Hunter’s Boy”

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo feels Sheamus had a lengthy run with the company because of his relationship with Triple H.

The Celtic Warrior has had a Hall of Fame-worthy career in WWE winning the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, Tag Team Championships, United States Championship, Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and the King of the Ring tournament. After a brief hiatus, he returned last week on RAW and defeated Ivar of The Viking Raiders.

During the latest episode of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo detailed that Triple H liked Sheamus, leading to his long stint with WWE. Despite paying their dues, he felt that other stars like Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher never got the correct booking.

The former WWE writer claimed he was bored watching the likes of Sheamus and Finn Balor on TV every week.

“I know Sheamus is Hunter’s boy and Finn is somebody else’s boy. Because of that they keep guys for way, way, way too long. Jinder was great, never got his run. Him and his guys never got their run. But, I’m so sick and tired of seeing the Sheamus’ and Finn Balor’s. These guys never, ever got over man.”

This week on RAW, The Celtic Warrior defeated Shinsuke Nakamura with a vicious Brogue Kick to continue his winning run.

While Russo’s claim may be slightly controversial, it may be interesting to note that Triple H worked with Sheamus during the latter’s early days in WWE and put him over.
