Wrestling veteran Konnan acknowledged CM Punk’s exceptional microphone skills while pointing out a rare instance where the superstar was outperformed. According to Konnan, AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) gained the upper hand during their verbal confrontation.

Speaking on Keepin’ It 100, Konnan praised Punk’s overall abilities but highlighted the notable exchange with MJF during Punk’s AEW tenure.

“Why wouldn’t you understand it? The guy comes in, does a great promo, out-promos everybody, right? Except when he went with MJF. I don’t know what happened there, because MJF just stomped him. He Kendrick Lamar-ed him,” Konnan said.

The observation comes in reference to Punk’s famous declaration: “I am the best on this microphone, in that ring, even in commentary. Nobody can touch me!”
