WWE announces CM Punk’s return to Madison Square Garden for december show

WWE has announced CM Punk’s participation in the WWE Live Holiday Tour at Madison Square Garden on December 26, 2024.

This marks his second consecutive year competing at the historic venue. Punk’s previous appearance at Madison Square Garden came during the 2023 Live Holiday Tour, shortly after his WWE return.

Punk is currently on hiatus following his Hell in a Cell bout against Drew McIntyre. Their rivalry included matches at SummerSlam, Bash in Berlin, and Bad Blood, where Punk emerged victorious in their final encounter. Due to the match’s intensity, Punk announced a temporary break from in-ring action.

CM Punk’s WWE journey since 2023 return

The connection between CM Punk and WWE strengthened after his surprise return at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023.

His first televised bout came at the 2024 Royal Rumble, entering at number 27. During the match, Punk suffered a legitimate injury caused by Drew McIntyre, leading to a six-month absence.

Despite being sidelined, Punk maintained his presence through promos and interfered in McIntyre’s World Heavyweight Title opportunities.
