WWE Announces Last-Minute Rule Change for Royal Rumble Match
WWE announces changes to the Royal Rumble format with two-minute intervals between entrants, as women’s match opens premium live event.

WWE introduced a modified format for the 2025 Royal Rumble matches, establishing two-minute intervals between competitor entries, changing from the traditional 90-second spacing used in previous years.
Ring announcer Alicia Taylor announced this change during the opening women’s Royal Rumble match.
IYO SKY entered the match at number one, followed by Liv Morgan at number two, with NXT’s Roxanne Perez joining as the third entrant.
