WWE Canceled RAW Segment Last Minute – What Happened?

WWE promoted a segment featuring Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria for the January 20 episode of Monday Night RAW in Dallas. However, the advertised in-person appearance was replaced with a video package highlighting her championship victory.

The advertised segment was not relocated to WWE Main Event tapings or presented as a dark match. No explanation was provided for the change in programming.

Dakota Kai, who was defeated by Valkyria in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament finals on January 13, returned to in-ring competition on the January 20 episode of RAW. Kai teamed with Iyo Sky to defeat Pure Fusion Collective’s Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler.
