Dominik Mysterio’s recent actions on RAW have drawn attention from WWE officials. After Morgan’s Women’s World Championship loss to Rhea Ripley on RAW’s Netflix debut, Mysterio’s attempt to side with Ripley backfired.
During this week’s RAW, Mysterio tried to make amends by presenting Morgan with roses and an apology. While Morgan stated she wasn’t angry, her demeanor suggested otherwise as she assigned him various tasks.
WWE’s official Instagram account posted footage of the backstage interaction with a pointed message:
@dominik_35, you’ve got a lot to learn.
The situation stems from Mysterio’s offer to hug Ripley after her victory over Morgan, which resulted in Ripley responding with a low blow and Riptide.
Vince Russo questions Rhea Ripley’s match presentation
Former WWE writer Vince Russo shared criticism of Ripley’s championship match against Morgan on RAW’s Netflix premiere. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW, Russo compared Ripley’s in-ring style to WWE Hall of Famer Chyna:
Man, I just gotta tell you, Chris, I just think they make Rhea Ripley sell way too much, man. I’m watching her, and I’m like, I can’t help but think of it, and I’m like, ‘Chyna would’ve never ever sold like that.’ And that’s why she was so over. You got a woman who is so much shorter than Rhea, just throwing her around that ring and tossing her around that ring. I just think they’re having her sell way too much.
Morgan’s next steps regarding her relationship with Mysterio remain unclear following these developments on RAW.
