WWE could feature Kofi Kingston and CM Punk reunion during New Day’s 10th anniversary

Potential CM Punk and Kofi Kingston reunion teased amid New Day tensions, while Punk addresses relationships with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins during ComplexCon appearance.

WWE plans to celebrate The New Day’s 10th anniversary amid growing tension between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Recent episodes of RAW have shown Woods displaying heel tendencies, leading to speculation about a potential split within the iconic faction formed in 2014.

Reports suggest Woods might turn on Kingston during next week’s RAW, potentially setting up CM Punk’s return to aid his former tag team partner. Kingston and Punk previously captured the WWE Tag Team Title from Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in October 2008.

Their relationship remained positive following Punk’s WWE return at Survivor Series: WarGames last year, with Kingston expressing enthusiasm during a backstage encounter. The potential storyline could see Punk intervening in the New Day situation, leading to a bout against Woods.

CM Punk discusses dynamic with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at ComplexCon

Speaking at ComplexCon, CM Punk addressed his current relationship with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. During a conversation with Peter Rosenberg, he reflected on his connection to The Shield’s early days in WWE.

Punk suggested that his interactions with both stars would unfold on television, emphasizing that his WWE departure was motivated by personal reasons rather than conflicts with colleagues.

“If you look back at when The Shield, they came here and made a whole ton of waves in a short amount of time. And my relationship with all those guys was pretty good. I just had to get the hell out of here for my own sanity. But yeah, absence makes the heart grow fonder. I think a lot of the questions you have like, oh, what is Punk’s relationship with Roman? What does Punk feel about Seth? I think all that stuff is gonna play out on television because that’s what I do.”
