The WWE veteran criticized the lack of logic in the interaction between The Rock and Cody Rhodes, considering the recent history between the two.
The last time we saw you together, you were beating up Cody with his own truck. Now you’re praising him. Come on, there’s no logic in this stuff. The logic has simply vanished.
Russo also criticized another aspect of The Rock’s appearance:
And here’s the best part. So The Rock not only drinks and drives but also leaves his kids at the building. He leaves the kids there and drinks. He’s drinking a bottle of tequila and then drives off. Who’s taking the kids home?
The Rock also appeared on NXT New Year’s Evil the following night, participating in a backstage segment with Ava and Ethan Carter III, wrapping up the night with an in-ring promo.
