WWE Evolution 2 Ticket Sales Raise Concerns, Lag Far Behind Companion Event

Recent data reveals that ticket sales for WWE’s upcoming all-women’s Evolution event are significantly lagging, reigniting internal concerns about the show’s viability.

WWE Evolution 2 Ticket Sales Raise Concerns, Lag Far Behind Companion Event

With just over a week until a major WWE weekend in Atlanta, a stark contrast in ticket sales between two marquee events is developing, reigniting long-standing concerns within the company about the commercial viability of an all-women’s show.

According to a July 4th update from WrestleTix, the demand for the two events at the State Farm Arena could not be more different. Saturday Night’s Main Event, scheduled for July 12th and headlined by Bill Goldberg’s retirement match against Gunther, is nearing a sellout with 10,731 tickets distributed and only 1,784 remaining. Standard admission for that show starts at $103.35.

The situation for Evolution on the following night, July 13th, is far more troubling. The all-women’s event has only distributed 4,804 tickets, leaving 1,578 available. This is despite a significantly lower entry price, with the cheapest seats available for just $56.75.

Analyzing the numbers, WrestleTix pointed to the resale market as a clear indicator of the demand gap, noting that certain sections for Evolution haven’t even been opened yet.

“Based on resale patterns, I’d expect SNME to have more upper deck sections occupied. Evolution, on the other hand, has very little resale activity up there and a significantly lower price point in the lower bowl, so it’s likely anyone with combo tickets in the upper deck will be moved to the lower bowl.”

The slow sales are reportedly adding fuel to an old narrative within WWE. A primary reason the company waited seven years to bring back Evolution was the internal concern over its ability to draw a large live audience. These latest figures appear to validate those hesitations.

The struggles at the box office come despite a card filled with star power. The event is set to feature a WWE Women’s Championship match between Tiffany Stratton and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, a Women’s World Championship bout between IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley, and a triple threat for the Intercontinental title involving Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria. The event also faces local competition from a Beyoncé concert at the nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
