WWE eyes Mexico for major international premium live event in 2026
WWE reportedly plans to host a premium live event in Mexico during 2026, following Elimination Chamber in Toronto and Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

WrestleVotes has provided an update regarding WWE’s international premium live event plans, indicating Mexico as a likely destination for 2026. This information follows Bad Bunny’s recent comments about WWE Backlash potentially taking place in Mexico.
During a Backstage Pass discussion, WrestleVotes addressed the possibility:
I would say probably 2026 is a good possibility, yeah. A very high possibility.
Previous reports mentioned discussions about hosting an event in Mexico City during 2025. WWE’s international schedule currently includes Elimination Chamber in Toronto on March 1, 2025, and Royal Rumble 2026 in Riyadh, marking the first time the January event will occur outside the United States since 1989.
Potential WrestleMania 41 match could feature Bad Bunny return
A storyline involving Rey Mysterio, Bad Bunny, Dominik Mysterio, and Logan Paul could materialize at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. The proposed tag team match would mark Bad Bunny’s first WWE appearance since defeating Damian Priest at Backlash 2023 in San Juan.
Bad Bunny’s history with The Mysterios includes supporting Rey against Dominik at WrestleMania 39.
Logan Paul’s expressed interest in teaming with Dominik adds credibility to the potential matchup, as both Rey and Dominik maintain their rivalry through their respective alignments with Latino World Order and The Judgment Day.
