WWE far behind on Tiffany Stratton character development, warns WWE veteran

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo addressed Tiffany Stratton‘s current position on SmackDown during a recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Writing With Russo. Russo pointed to missed opportunities in Stratton’s character development following her Money in the Bank cash-in victory over Nia Jax.

During the discussion with host Dr. Chris Featherstone, Russo highlighted the timing issues with Stratton’s alignment.

Bro, they’re months too late. When you put her in that angle with Nia Jax and Frances LeRoux [Candice LeRae] over there, I mean, Ms. LeRoux was clearly, clearly the heel.

The 25-year-old champion secured the WWE Women’s Championship on January 3 after cashing in her contract on Nia Jax. Prior to this victory, Stratton worked alongside Jax and Candice LeRae.

Potential WrestleMania Plans Surface

Stratton’s championship reign continues to generate discussion about future opponents. The champion prepares to defend her title against Bayley next week on SmackDown, with the challenger earning her opportunity through a fatal four-way victory over Nia Jax, Naomi, and Bianca Belair.

Recent speculation emerged after fans noticed Stratton using a phrase associated with former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Rose acknowledged the similarity on social media with a cryptic response, leading to discussions about potential future encounters.

Despite the upcoming championship match against Bayley, predictions suggest Stratton will retain her title as WWE potentially plans for a different direction heading into WrestleMania season.
