If a recent report is to be believed, WWE had no choice but to cancel a blockbuster Rhea Ripley match after she suffered an untimely injury. The Eradicator was slated to have a marquee contest at the upcoming Survivor Series 2024 PLE in Vancouver.

Ripley was written off WWE’s programming after she was attacked by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the October 29, edition of NXT. This was an angle to write her off after she sustained an injury on RAW a few days earlier.

Rhea Ripley had been involved in a lengthy feud with Morgan that had the viewers riveted when she was ruled out of action. However, it recently emerged that the former Women’s World Champion’s injury isn’t as severe as expected and she could return before time. Now, Xero News is reporting that before injury put her on the shelf for the foreseeable future, WWE was planning a WarGames match for Ripley.

It was noted that the 28-year-old was set to assemble her team to take on a side led by Liv Morgan. Moreover, it was also reported that the promotion would now have a brand warfare kind of WarGames match for the women’s division.

Damian Priest on recruiting Rhea Ripley to The Judgment Day in WWE

Priest and Ripley were two of the biggest names in The Judgment Day before they were kicked out of the stable a few months ago. In a recent interview, Damian Priest recalled recruiting The Eradicator to the faction in 2022.

He revealed that he told Rhea Ripley how their involvement in The Judgment Day could take their careers to the next level, and mentioned that it panned out exactly how they planned it.

“Here’s the conversation, ‘What do you think of bringing Rhea in?’, and it’s like that’s a no-brainer for me. That’s my homie. … I obviously had to talk with her before we joined The Judgment Day, and it was like, ‘Well, this is the reasoning. I think this can help us get to where we believe we belong.’ And here we are as two of the top faces in WWE. … So as far as The Judgment Day goes, it’s mission accomplished. That’s exactly what the point of The Judgment Day was,” Priest said.

Even after their stint in The Judgment Day ended, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley continued to tag along as The Terror Twins for several weeks before finally going their separate ways.
