Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff refuted predictions about Triple H’s potential departure from WWE and former head writer Brian Gewirtz taking over as Head of Creative.
The speculation arose after former WWE writer Vince Russo suggested Triple H might leave his position as Chief Content Officer in 2025. Russo proposed Gewirtz, The Rock’s current business partner, as a potential successor.
“I can’t imagine that Brian would want to go back to professional wrestling at this stage of his career. But he may be chomping at the bit to do it. I don’t know,” Bischoff stated on his 83 Weeks podcast.
Triple H assumed creative control following Vince McMahon’s initial retirement in 2022. He maintained his position through McMahon’s brief return in January 2023 and subsequent departure, leading WWE into what’s been termed the “Paul Levesque era.”
Wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman suggested Paul Heyman as another potential candidate during the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast. NXT Head of Creative Shawn Michaels has also been mentioned as a possible successor.
