Drew McIntyre’s victory over Sami Zayn at Saturday Night’s Main Event was followed by personal revelations during his appearance on the Busted Open Holiday Party. McIntyre expressed concerns about being forgotten by fans, despite his current success and renewed focus targeting Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry addressed McIntyre’s comments on the Busted Open Podcast, challenging the former champion’s perspective on wrestling legacies.
“Drew was wrong though about one thing. About being forgotten. The fans of pro wrestling don’t forget you. And the people in the company, they may move on because that’s the nature of the business,” Henry stated. “But there’ll be somebody else on these mics, and they will make references to us. We won’t be forgotten.”
Henry emphasized that while the industry continually evolves, veteran performers maintain their influence through fan memories and references by future generations.
