WWE Hall of Famer Teases Possible Appearance at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia
Rob Van Dam, a celebrated WWE Hall of Famer, has hinted at a possible appearance at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. Van Dam, who recently celebrated his 53rd birthday, remains in remarkable physical condition and has shown no signs of retiring despite his Hall of Fame status.
Van Dam, known for his dynamic wrestling style and popularity in both ECW and WWE, has made sporadic appearances in the wrestling world this year, including in AEW. His involvement in AEW led to complications regarding his advertised presence for WrestleMania 40 weekend as part of the priority pass packages, as reported by Fightful.
In a recent episode of Marty Jannetty’s “Party with Marty” podcast, Van Dam confirmed his plans to be in Philadelphia for WrestleMania weekend at WrestleCon. He intriguingly noted, “Allegedly I got booked for an appearance, and then allegedly that appearance was canceled when I showed up on an alleged competitor’s TV program, and then allegedly I might be pre-booked — either way, I’m going to be there at WrestleCon!”
Rob Van Dam was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, a class that also included notable wrestlers such as Kane, The Great Khali, Molly Holly, and Eric Bischoff. His career highlights include winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 22 and a memorable victory over John Cena at ECW One Night Stand in 2006, where he won the WWE Championship.
As WrestleMania 40 approaches, the wrestling community is abuzz with speculation about Van Dam’s potential involvement in the event.
