WWE May Have Revealed Two Matches for NXT Great American Bash

The card for WWE NXT’s Great American Bash on July 12 began to take shape following television tapings that revealed two significant matches for the Atlanta event. The tapings, set to air on next week’s episode of NXT, confirmed a championship clash and a high-stakes tag team match.

For the NXT Championship, Oba Femi will defend his title against Yoshiki Inamura. The Japanese star earned the opportunity after winning a No. 1 contender’s match against Jasper Troy, the same individual who had recently targeted the champion. Inamura had initially answered an open challenge from Femi before the altercation with Troy led to the contender’s match being made. This marks Inamura’s first title opportunity since joining the brand and presents a formidable challenge to Femi’s reign, which will have surpassed 165 days by the time of the event.

The NXT Women’s Championship picture will also be a central focus, with a tag team match setting the stage for a title bout the following night. Jordynne Grace is scheduled to team with newcomer Blake Monroe to face NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. This match occurs just one day before Grace challenges Jayne for the championship at the Evolution premium live event on July 13. Grace secured her title shot by winning a four-way elimination match on a recent episode of NXT.
