Cora Jade appears on the scene to thank Ava for allowing her to face Masha Slamovich for the Knockouts World Championship. Jade mocks Jordynne, claiming she will elevate that championship like never before on the NXT brand. Jordynne and Cora begin to argue. Ava stops them, suggesting they settle their issues in the ring. Cora thanks her again and leaves the scene.
Trick Williams is seen arguing with Ava backstage. Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors approach Ava to give her a gift, but Williams is in no mood for it. Trick slams Dixon against a shutter. Ava orders him to let his partner go. Williams leaves the area in a bad mood.
Singles Match: Kelani Jordan vs. Jaida Parker
– Parker lands a “Hipnotic” on Jordan, followed by a pinfall.
Parker speaks directly to the camera to send a message to Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer, stating that he will be keeping an eye on their match.
Tony D’Angelo is interviewed by Kelly Kincaid. The Don of NXT is asked about the condition of his back after taking several chair shots a few weeks ago and whether it’s wise to compete without being fully recovered. The North American Champion explains that it’s a personal decision and that he understands “Stacks” being concerned about it. Finally, D’Angelo addresses Shawn Spears, making it clear that there’s only one family in NXT, and it’s his.
Oba Femi addresses the media at the press conference ahead of WWE Roadblock. “The Ruler” states that next week we will witness a completely unprecedented match. The Nigerian also emphasizes that he cannot afford to lose the NXT Championship to Moose. Oba acknowledges that his opponent has an impressive physique. However, he has faced men of all sizes and promises that when he gets his hands on Moose, he will wish he had never left the NFL. Finally, he vows to retain the championship next week.
The Hardy Boyz make their entrance. The fans greet them with a huge ovation. Jeff Hardy says he feels great in NXT and back home in WWE. “Welcome home!” chants the crowd. Matt Hardy is excited to be in NXT for the first time and to have the opportunity to beat one of the best teams of the moment. Matt states that the talent on the brand is very special. Jeff points out that last week he saw the fire in the eyes of Axiom and Nathan Frazer, the same fire that took him and his brother to the top.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger interrupt the segment. Ledger asks The Hardyz for advice on how to keep pushing themselves forward. Matt and Jeff recommend that they take their careers to the extreme, take risks, and make the impossible possible.
Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura storm onto the scene. Briggs and Inamura confront Tank and Hank for sucking up to The Hardyz. Inamura and Briggs make it clear that it’s their time now. Hank and Tank launch themselves with a simultaneous suicide dive onto Josh and Yoshiki, sparking a brawl that spills backstage.
Axiom and Nathan Frazer appear behind Matt and Jeff. The Hardyz advise the Europeans to go all out next week. Frazer assures them that they will. In seven days, they will find out which of the two teams is the best in the world. The Hardyz pose with the championships in front of Axiom and Nathan to bring the segment to a close.
We see a promotional video for the champion vs. champion match taking place next week at Madison Square Garden. Shawn Michaels and Triple H agree that this is the biggest women’s match in NXT history, and it will take place on the most fitting stage. Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer share their final thoughts ahead of the event.
Singles Match: Cora Jade vs. Jordynne Grace
– The match ends by referee’s decision after Jade is deemed unable to continue.
Ethan Page and Je’Von Evans are interviewed in a split-screen segment. Ethan recalls how Je’Von reminded him that he had gone soft and how that made him snap. Now, he is more dangerous than ever and is ready to break Je’Von’s jaw again. Evans claims that Page took away his smile. He put him through hell. Now, he is ready to finish Page once and for all. Both start arguing as the interview comes to an end.
Singles Match: Trick Williams vs. Kale Dixon w/ Uriah Connors
– The match ends by referee’s decision after Williams quickly destroys Dixon.
Williams grabs a microphone to demand Eddy Thorpe’s presence. Thorpe appears in the stands to challenge him to an Underground Match in two weeks. Trick doesn’t hesitate to accept the challenge.
We cut to backstage, where Roxanne Perez has attacked Jordynne Grace, who is lying on the ground. Perez shouts that this is her division before two officials order her to leave.
Moose is interviewed at the press conference ahead of Roadblock. Moose states that once WWE and TNA Wrestling signed their agreement, he knew what he wanted. He waited patiently until the opportunity arose. Moose acknowledges that Oba Femi is a great talent, but next week he will take the NXT Championship from him to become the face of two franchises.
Ava appears on the scene to announce that Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez will face off at WWE Roadblock. Fatal Influence asks the General Manager when Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx will get their rematch for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Ava responds that this is not the place to have this conversation. Fallon Henley insists, but Ava chooses to leave the room.
Ricky Saints meets Ridge Holland backstage. The Brit states that he doesn’t like him and that he shouldn’t be in NXT. Ricky advises him to get used to it. Saints continues on his way until he runs into Shawn Spears. The two face off. “Saints, this revolution will begin when I win the North American Championship,” says Spears before continuing on his way.
