WWE NXT beats AEW Dynamite in last Wednesday’s ratings battle
Last night, NXT topped AEW Dynamite in both total viewership and the key 18 to 49 demographic. While AEW Dynamite aired as usual on TBS, NXT switched its broadcast to Wednesday on The CW instead of its regular Tuesday slot.
NXT held its show live from the historic “ECW Arena,” now known as the 2300 Arena, featuring nostalgic content from ECW. The show included a revamped opening that used the original theme song from the 90s ECW show, along with special appearances from renowned wrestlers from the original ECW era.
AEW Dynamite averaged 523,000 viewers, down from 628,000 the previous week. On the other hand, NXT reached an average of 619,000 viewers, an increase from 588,000 the week prior, but still below the 702,000 two weeks ago.
In the key demographic, AEW Dynamite scored a 0.16. Meanwhile, NXT reached a 0.17 in the same demographic.
