WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is expected to appear on tonight’s June 30 broadcast of WWE RAW to initiate a new program. According to a report from PWInsider, her appearance will set the stage for a new storyline.
The program is reportedly designed to culminate with a match at the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event. This development follows recent reports that WWE has been interested in having Stratus compete at the all-women’s show, with creative plans being discussed for her involvement. An announcement regarding her return was previously scripted for the June 13 episode of SmackDown but was ultimately pulled before the broadcast.
Tonight’s RAW is also scheduled to feature a significant joint announcement from General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis regarding the Evolution 2 event. The timing of Stratus’s return aligns with this focus and comes after a legitimate shoulder injury to Liv Morgan on June 16, which reportedly forced changes to the event’s card and may have increased the company’s interest in securing a major star.
This appearance marks Stratus’s first time on WWE television since her storyline with Becky Lynch concluded last year. That angle saw Stratus turn heel and align with Zoey Stark, which ended when Lynch defeated her in a Steel Cage Match at Payback.
