WWE Pulls Controversial Flair-Stratton Exchange From Social Media

WWE deletes social media clip of Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton's heated promo containing personal jabs about relationships.

WWE has taken steps to distance itself from a heated verbal exchange between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton that aired during the April 4 edition of SmackDown, removing the segment from their official social media accounts.

The confrontation between the two competitors escalated beyond typical wrestling promotion when Stratton referenced Flair’s personal life outside the ring. “When it’s all said and done, you’re going to be just like you are outside of the ring, alone! What is that record, like 0-3?” Stratton said, apparently alluding to Flair’s relationship history. Flair fired back with an equally personal claim that Stratton’s boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser had been messaging her privately.

Reports from multiple sources indicated that many of the comments exchanged during the segment were not part of the planned script. WWE’s decision to delete the clip from their official X account suggests the company recognized these remarks crossed a line they weren’t comfortable promoting further.

This isn’t the first instance of apparent off-script moments between these competitors. A split-screen promo from several weeks ago reportedly featured Flair making unplanned comments, leaving Stratton attempting to stick to the original script rather than adapting to Flair’s improvisation.

The tension between Flair and Stratton continues to build toward their scheduled WWE Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 41, set to take place on either April 19 or 20. Whether this behind-the-scenes friction will impact their in-ring performance remains to be seen as the premium live event approaches.
