Logan Paul’s music hits, and the Maverick makes his way to the ring amid loud boos. Once in the ring, Paul tries to speak, but the crowd continues to boo him relentlessly. Paul tells the audience that they forget that when they hear his name, they should associate him with legends like The Rock and John Cena—people who broke barriers. Paul criticizes Cody Rhodes for being an idiot for not accepting The Rock’s offer, while Cena took twenty years to realize that “good guys” always finish last. Paul claims that if The Rock wants it, his soul is available.

Paul calls himself a celebrity, just like Andrew Schulz, who is sitting in the audience. Paul grabs a microphone for Schulz and asks him what he came to Madison Square Garden to see tonight. Schulz responds that he came to watch the Steel Cage Match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Schulz adds that Paul isn’t in Cleveland; he’s in New York, a real city. Schulz says he’s here to watch real wrestlers, like AJ Styles.

Paul gets angry and attacks Schulz, throwing him into the ring. Paul sets up for a Suplex, but AJ Styles’ music hits. The Phenomenal One storms to the ring and starts laying into Paul. The assault ends with a Phenomenal Forearm. Styles challenges Paul to get back in the ring, but the Maverick refuses to return. The segment ends with Styles and Schulz celebrating in the ring.

The New Day’s music hits, and Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods make their way to the ring. With microphones in hand, Woods and Kingston start mocking the New York crowd, including the Knicks and the Giants. Woods declares that the best team in the city is the Brooklyn Nets. Woods and Kingston joke that while they were relaxing on a paradise island last week, they’re now stuck in a city full of rats. Despite their jokes, they acknowledge that everyone is here to see their talents, and that’s exactly what’s coming next.

When he reaches the ring, Rhodes greets the crowd and asks what they want to talk about. Rhodes says that Madison Square Garden is like a cathedral of entertainment, and it’s great to be here. Rhodes notes that his WrestleMania 41 opponent, John Cena, isn’t present tonight. Rhodes jokes that Cena probably told his buddies, like Travis Scott and The Rock, that even though he’s not here today, he’ll be in Brussels next week.

Rhodes recalls when Cena won the United States Championship at WrestleMania XX, right here in this very arena. Rhodes says Cena isn’t here tonight because maybe it’s easier to hit someone with a low blow. Rhodes adds that he’s sure Cena is watching RAW right now. Rhodes expresses frustration over Cena’s social media posts claiming he has the discipline to do what needs to be done, even when he doesn’t want to.

Rhodes declares that no one—not even Cena or The Rock—can define what’s best for business. Rhodes points out that there are 17,000 people in attendance tonight, just as Cena wants his seventeenth title—but it won’t happen, because Cena will soon discover that Rhodes is the captain now. Rhodes thanks the crowd again and ends the segment.

Cole then invites her opponent at the Showcase of Immortals, Bianca Belair, to join them.

Upon arriving in the ring, Belair congratulates SKY on her victory. Belair says that while they’ve never been close friends, she’s happy to face her at WrestleMania. Cole mentions that Belair may have indirectly helped SKY become champion last week, given the altercation between Belair and Rhea Ripley at ringside. Belair explains that she was only there to watch the match and wait for her WrestleMania opponent, until Ripley laid hands on her—and that’s something she won’t tolerate. Ripley’s music hits.

Ripley storms out, furious, and demands to know why Belair was there last week. Belair says she already explained herself. Ripley calls it an excuse, accusing Belair of trying to help SKY win because she’s afraid to face her at WrestleMania. Ripley adds that this is exactly why Naomi betrayed Belair. Belair and Ripley begin arguing heatedly. SKY tries to step in to calm the situation but gets shoved by both women. SKY becomes enraged and slaps both Belair and Ripley across the face, leaving them stunned. SKY storms out of the ring, while Belair and Ripley recover in shock.

Next up is the main event. Seth Rollins and CM Punk will face off inside the Steel Cage.
