WWE Reportedly Saving Surprises for Becky Lynch’s Return; Major Royal Rumble 2025 Match Rumored
Becky Lynch’s return to WWE appears to be on the verge of being officially confirmed. According to WRKD Wrestling, “a deal has been nearly finalized for some time now.”
Lynch stepped away from WWE in 2024 after her contract ended, but not before hitting some major career milestones. In February, she won her first Elimination Chamber match by eliminating Liv Morgan. Although she wasn’t able to defeat Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania XL, she captured the Women’s World Championship at the end of April.
Interestingly, Morgan found herself once again impacted by Lynch’s success, as she was the final competitor eliminated in the Women’s Battle Royal that decided the new Women’s World Champion. A month later, Morgan went on to win the title from Lynch and defeated her again later that same week, just before the Irish star’s departure from WWE.
Currently, Morgan holds the Women’s World Championship and is the top female star on Monday Night RAW, where she’s made headlines by claiming she has “retired” Lynch. With Lynch potentially making a comeback at the Royal Rumble 2025, a championship match could be on the way.
Lynch’s comeback would be particularly significant given the historic shift of Monday Night RAW to Netflix.
