Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre announced their entry into the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match on the January 13 episode of RAW. The declarations came during a heated confrontation with CM Punk, who had just celebrated his victory over Rollins from the previous week’s RAW on Netflix premiere.
At the start of RAW, Punk acknowledged the firefighters and first responders battling wildfires in California. He then addressed his future plans, referencing his injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble:
You Can’t See Me
Rollins interrupted the segment to confront his recent opponent:
If I wasn’t a man of my word and I opted not to show up when times got hard, that would be a Punk move. I would rather be the worst version of myself than any version of Punk.
