Michael Cole welcomes us from a table near the stands before introducing Pat McAfee. McAfee makes his entrance, greeting the fans before heading to Cole’s position. He recalls his time with the Indianapolis football team, calling it the best city in the world. McAfee promises that they will make the Royal Rumble one of the best sporting events. Cole then introduces Joe Tessitore, who is waiting in the ring.

Standing beneath WWE’s two championships, Joe recalls how Kevin Owens was upset with him last week for not interviewing him. That’s why tonight, he’s giving him the opportunity to speak. The Canadian superstar makes his way to the ring, ignoring Tessitore and turning his back on him for a few moments while gauging the crowd’s reaction.

Joe admits to Kevin that he has been thinking a lot about what he said last week, so he has decided to give him a chance to explain himself. With that, he asks what’s going on between him and Cody Rhodes. Owens snaps at him for focusing solely on Cody without considering anything else. Kevin promises that tomorrow, he will win the WWE Championship. Tessitore tries to apologize to Kevin, but Owens refuses to accept it. With that, he reclaims the WWE Winged Eagle Championship, vowing that tomorrow, he will also take the other one.

Owens prepares to leave the ring, but CM Punk appears on the scene. The fans chant CM Punk’s name as he enjoys the moment from one of the turnbuckles. Kevin and Punk lock eyes in silence. The Best in the World wants to apologize to Kevin Owens for ignoring him when he challenged Cody Rhodes. CM Punk makes it clear that if Kevin defeats Cody for the top championship, he will challenge him next. The Canadian responds by saying that he likes every Royal Rumble participant more than Punk. Owens assures him that if they do face each other at WrestleMania, he will defeat him.

Kevin knows how important it is for Punk to be in the main event of The Grandest Stage of Them All. That’s why he enjoys the thought that Punk will never achieve his dream, while he himself has already been there more than once. “I hope you don’t win the Royal Rumble,” Kevin says before heading toward the apron.

CM Punk stops him, pointing out that he hasn’t finished speaking. The Best in the World mocks Owens and his failures in WWE, adding that he has never taken shortcuts to achieve his goals. CM Punk challenges Owens to step back into the ring and get his ass kicked. Owens throws down the mic and the Winged Eagle title… only to step out of the ring and head backstage instead. The fans boo him. CM Punk’s theme music plays again to close the segment.

Damian Priest makes his entrance, reflecting on his journey since arriving on Raw four years ago, where he went from just another name to a World Champion. Now, on SmackDown, he’s ready to chase gold once again. Priest promises victory in the Royal Rumble.

Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu interrupt, stepping up to Priest. Jacob acknowledges Priest’s success but claims that unlike him, he’s completely unleashed. He warns that SmackDown belongs to him and Tama. Priest refuses to back down, suggesting they settle it the way they know best. He suddenly drops Tonga with a kick.

Fatu and Priest stare each other down before brawling. Tama recovers and joins in, turning it into a two-on-one beatdown. Tonga grabs a steel chair, but LA Knight rushes in to even the odds, sending the heels retreating. With the crowd chanting his name, The Megastar grabs a mic and challenges Tonga and Fatu to a tag match. The heels back off, ending the segment.

Backstage, Motor City Machine Guns approach Legado del Fantasma. The former champions acknowledge their differences but insist they must work together tonight if they want the win. Elektra Lopez advises Angel and Berto to focus only on themselves. Santos Escobar orders them to do whatever it takes but not to lose sight of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. As Santos and Elektra walk away, Berto and Angel assure Sabin and Shelley that they have nothing to worry about—unless they reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championships at the Royal Rumble, in which case they’ll become their next targets.

McAfee jokes about the chaotic final moments of Royal Rumble Kickoff, when Michael Cole and Cody Rhodes ended up “surfing” over the crowd. Cole then introduces a promo video hyping Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens.

Damian Priest walks backstage when Santos Escobar approaches, offering his support on SmackDown. Priest refuses to listen, prompting Escobar to walk away.

R-Truth then appears, as confused as ever, convinced they’re on Monday Night Raw. LA Knight joins Priest, checking on him. Priest reassures him that he’s fine. Tonight, they’ll fight side by side, but tomorrow, there are no friends in the Royal Rumble. Knight agrees. A few feet away, Shinsuke Nakamura quietly watches their exchange.

R-Truth chimes in, excited that all three of them are together on RAW. Priest tells Knight to just let it go—there’s no point in explaining.

Elsewhere, Zelina Vega confronts Tiffany Stratton, making it clear that now that she’s back on SmackDown, she’s setting her sights on the WWE Women’s Championship. And who knows? Maybe tomorrow, she’ll earn her shot. Stratton smirks, amused, saying it’s sweet that Zelina is willing to fight through 29 other women just to get a glimpse of her title. With that, she walks away.

Pat McAfee and Michael Cole stand in the center of the ring to welcome Tiffany Stratton. The WWE Women’s Champion makes her entrance, exuding confidence. Cole asks how her life has changed since winning the title. Tiffany smirks, saying she’s always been this way—now the whole world just knows it.

McAfee reminds her that 30 women will compete tomorrow for a title opportunity, and the winner could choose to challenge her. Tiffany, unfazed, insists she fears no one. Candice LeRae interrupts.

LeRae calls out Stratton for betraying both her and Nia Jax. She claims Tiffany was jealous because Nia favored her. Candice then announces her entry into the Royal Rumble and vows to take the championship from Stratton.

Tiffany fires back, dismissing LeRae as nothing more than Jax’s lackey. That’s when The Irresistible Force storms out. Jax goes for a corner splash, but Stratton dodges, causing Nia to crush Candice instead.

With LeRae down, Jax shifts her focus back to Tiffany, leveling her with a headbutt before planting her with the Annihilator. With the champion laid out, Jax approaches Candice and helps her up, embracing her to close the segment.
