WWE SmackDown authority figure reveals they can wrestle anytime – “I have two contracts”

Nick Aldis disclosed details about his current WWE positions during an interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight. Aldis, who joined WWE SmackDown as general manager on October 13, 2023, holds both producer and talent contracts with the company.

“I didn’t have any job then. Now I have two; producer and a talent. I have two contracts. An employee contract as a producer and a talent contract for the General Manager role,” Aldis explained.

Aldis joined WWE in August 2023 as a backstage producer before securing his full-time role. His arrival followed his TNA/IMPACT Wrestling departure, where he lost the IMPACT World Title to Alex Shelley at Slammiversary.

Nick Aldis caught in rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens released a social media statement explaining his November 15 SmackDown absence following his attack on Randy Orton. Owens expressed frustration with recent events, stating he was turned away after the incident with Orton.

Owens claimed he attempted to warn Triple H about the situation and defended his actions, saying Orton demanded the bout. WWE has confirmed Owens will return for a face-to-face confrontation with Cody Rhodes on the November 22 edition of SmackDown.
