WWE SmackDown Results: Top star joins New Bloodline; Roman Reigns calls an old friend; 5-time champ returns! (11/15/24)
Cody Rhodes kicked off WWE SmackDown and called Kevin Owens out, saying he crossed a line. Nick Aldis came out instead and said that Randy Orton was injured after last week’s attack, and after using the banned Piledriver move, Owens can’t be on the show anymore.
Rhodes said that this was exactly what KO wanted and that Nick should let him handle this. Aldis said that he couldn’t let it happen and that the matter had to be ‘resolved internally.’
Cody tried to appeal to Aldis by talking about how Orton impacted his career and that he had to stand by his friend. The champ wanted Aldis to think about it since they wouldn’t want Cody going after Owens alone.
The commentary team said this was a big issue, bigger than human resources could handle, as SmackDown moved on.
Jimmy Uso was backstage on SmackDown and walked up to Jey and Sami Zayn before saying that he had spoken to Roman Reigns, who wanted them to meet him in his locker room.
Jey mentioned they didn’t have a fifth member yet, and Zayn said he had an idea before walking off.

WWE SmackDown Results: Bayley vs. Candice LeRae vs. B-Fab
Bayley was taken out early on, and B-Fab was in control before we headed for a break.
Back on SmackDown, Bayley came back and got a near fall off an elbow drop before we got a Tower of Doom spot with Bayley trying for a superplex and B-Fab heading in for the powerbomb.
LeRae got a near fall off a dive, and Bayley returned with the Bayley to Belly before hitting Fab with the Uranage. LeRae broke up the pin, but Bayley rolled her off the counter to win.
Result: Bayley def Candice LeRae & B-Fab
Grade: B
Sami Zayn was seen talking to LA Knight backstage on SmackDown, but the latter did not seem interested in joining the OG Bloodline.
Chelsea Green and Piper Niven were making fun of B-Fab backstage before Michin showed up with a Kendo Stick and chased them off.
LA Knight was out next and put out an open challenge for the United States Championship.
Before anyone could answer the challenge, Knight said that the Bloodline Civil War wasn’t his fight and wanted both teams to destroy each other.
Legado Del Fantasma came out, and Santos Escobar said that LA Knight should be tired of hearing himself speak by now.
Elektra Lopez joked about taking up the open challenge before Knight settled on Berto and gave him the title opportunity.
Berto attacked Knight, and we headed for the match shortly afterward.
WWE SmackDown Results: LA Knight vs. Berto – United States Championship Match
The match started during a break, and Berto was in control early on. Knight fought out of a submission hold before slamming Berto’s head on the announce desk. Back in the ring, the champ hit a DDT before Berto came back with a moonsault, but Knight got his knees up.
Knight followed up with a big slam but took a dropkick in the corner. The champ reversed a superplex and hit a big elbow drop before getting the BFT for the win.
Result: LA Knight def. Berto to retain the United States Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura made his big return in all black and knocked the champ out after the match before walking out of the ring.
Grade: C
Backstage on SmackDown, The Usos and Sami Zayn walked into Roman Reigns’ locker room. After a break, Sami told Reigns that no one wanted to join them against the new Bloodline.
In the ring, Solo and The Bloodline made their entrance, and Roman and his group came out to face them. We got a big brawl, and The Usos cleared the ring before Jacob Fatu took Roman and the babyfaces out.
Sami was about to take the Samoan Spike from Solo, but Roman took Sikoa out with the spear to save him. Reigns and Fatu were in the ring, but Bronson Reed attacked Roman from behind!
Reed got a Death Valley Driver, and Fatu got a moonsault before Jimmy took the Tsunami.
Roman reversed a whip into the ringpost before he got some Superman Punches on Reed and the Tongans. Solo got Reigns with the Spike, and Fatu got the moonsault before Reed hit the OTC with the Tsunami!
Kevin Owens was in his car and said in a video that he had shown up to SmackDown tonight and was told to leave. However, he got a call from Nick Aldis, who told him to show up next week on SmackDown.
He ranted about how he was only called since Cody Rhodes wanted him there and that he was only ‘doing his job.’
WWE SmackDown Results: Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. The Street Profits – Tag Team Championship match
Ford and Sabin kicked off the match, and the champs were in control early on with a big double-team move on Montez for a near fall. Dawkins was tagged in and took the champs out at ringside before we headed for a break.
Back on SmackDown, the champs were still in control, with Sabin hitting a big dive to the outside. Tommaso Ciampa attacked both teams in the ring and got the match called off before Johnny Gargano tried to stop him.
Result: D.N.F
Ciampa shoved Gargano to the mat before walking off. After the match was called off, Dawkins attacked the champions.
Grade: B-
WWE SmackDown Results: Nia Jax (c) vs. Naomi – Women’s Championship match
Jax had the early advantage and got some near falls before tossing Naomi around the ring. The challenger tried to make a comeback but was hit with a headbutt before she managed to send Nia outside and hit a big dive into the barricades.
After a break on SmackDown, Naomi was caught in a half crab but got out of it and reversed a powerbomb for a near fall. Jax hit a pop-up Samoan Drop before Naomi blocked the Annihilator and dropped the champ outside for a big dive.
Liv and Raquel were seen attacking the women’s tag champs backstage, and Tiffany Stratton attacked Naomi in the apron. Nia’s finisher was blocked again before Naomi reversed a top rope suplex!
Bayley attacked Stratton, taking her out before Naomi got the moonsault in the ring for another near fall. Candice LeRae ran out and took Bayley down at ringside as Nia got the top rope Samoan Drop and the Annihilator for the win.
Result: Nia Jax def. Naomi to retain the WWE Women’s Championship
Grade: B+
Backstage in his locker room, Roman Reigns tried to call the Wiseman Paul Heyman, but his number seemed to have changed.
Roman was shocked, and the phone fell out of his hand as WWE SmackDown went off the air.
