The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster for Eddy Thorpe on WWE NXT. Last Tuesday, he was physically confronted by Shawn Michaels and blamed for General Manager Ava being taken out during a backstage altercation. However, this week, Thorpe got what he wanted.
In a Last Chance Qualifying Fatal Four-Way Match, Thorpe defeated Lexis King, Cedric Alexander, and Axiom to secure his spot in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. After the match, a confident Eddy declared he would win the Iron Survivor Challenge, claiming no one deserved it more than him.
However, in a shocking twist, Thorpe’s participation in the match may now be in jeopardy. During the show’s closing moments, cameras revealed a chaotic scene backstage. Several referees were attending to a seemingly unconscious Thorpe in the locker room after what looked like a mystery assault.

The identity of the attacker is not known. This has left the fans speculating about the motives behind the assault. Could it be connected to Thorpe’s involvement in Ava getting hurt last week?
