Grayson Waller has set his sights on CM Punk, expressing his desire to face the veteran superstar while questioning changes in Punk’s character since his return to WWE.
In an interview with Wide World of Sports, Waller outlined his intentions to challenge Punk, who recently aligned with The OG Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames in Canada.
“Either way, I want to test myself against CM Punk and I want to be what he used to be. He finally deserves some karma – remember how he used to act?” Waller stated.
The 34-year-old former tag team champion further elaborated on his approach to potential opponents. “The guys I respect the most are the guys I’m going to attack the worst, because that’s how I show my respect.”
Waller also criticized what he perceives as changes in Punk’s persona. “I don’t think CM Punk is the same guy anymore. I think if CM Punk saw who he is from 10 years ago to now and who he has become, I think he would be embarrassed.”
Since returning from hiatus, Punk has established himself as a prominent figure on WWE programming, engaging in rivalries with Drew McIntyre and participating in significant events like Survivor Series: WarGames.
