WWE Tag Team Set To Split Following Star's 527-Day Losing Streak

Following his recent split from Grayson Waller on WWE RAW, Austin Theory has now gone over 500 days without a singles victory.

WWE Tag Team Set To Split Following Star’s 527-Day Losing Streak

The outlook for Austin Theory on WWE RAW has become increasingly bleak. Following an apparent split from tag team partner Grayson Waller, Theory finds himself without a clear direction, a situation compounded by a staggering winless streak in singles competition that now spans 527 days.

The former United States Champion’s last victory in a one-on-one match occurred on the January 26, 2024, edition of SmackDown, where he defeated Carmelo Hayes. In the nearly 18 months since that win, Theory has been unable to secure a singles victory.

The dissolution of his team, A-Town Down Under, appears to be the most immediate issue. Grayson Waller has seemingly moved on, gravitating towards a new alliance with The New Day. For weeks, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have advised Waller to part ways with Theory, framing him as “deadweight” holding Waller back.

Waller has been receptive to the veterans’ influence, recently praising them on social media after backstage arguments with Theory. This shift leaves Theory abandoned just a year after their career peak. The duo captured the WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 40 before losing the titles to #DIY in July 2024.

The partnership was widely viewed as a temporary pairing for two wrestlers with singles aspirations. For Theory, who was once a heavily pushed project under the previous WWE regime, the end of the team and his prolonged losing streak mark a significant downturn in his career trajectory, leaving him lost in the shuffle on the main roster.
