Wrestling veteran Tommy Dreamer suggests that championship implications could prevent CM Punk and Seth Rollins from headlining WrestleMania 41. Speaking on Busted Open, Dreamer acknowledged Punk’s long-awaited desire for a WrestleMania main event but cited title match precedence as a potential obstacle.
“Do I think CM Punk deserves to finally get what he wants? 1000% I do. Built correctly, the Seth Rollins story could’ve been a main event of WrestleMania with no titles on the line. If there’s a title on the line, I don’t see it happening just because of where I see everybody being positioned,” Dreamer stated.
The rivalry between Punk and Rollins intensified on RAW when both competitors engaged in a brawl that required multiple officials to intervene. Their confrontation led to the announcement of a match scheduled for RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, 2025.
Their WrestleMania XL plans were previously altered due to injuries, which resulted in different roles for both competitors at the Philadelphia event. Their current trajectory has reignited speculation about potential WrestleMania 41 plans.
