WWE veteran wants The Rock to play a major role in The Bloodline saga

The WWE Universe anticipated an earth-shattering return of The Rock at Survivor Series following the OG Bloodline vs. new Bloodline match. However, this did not materialize. Mark Henry has since expressed his wish that The Great One had made a comeback and played a significant role following the Men’s WarGames Match.

The team of Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Jimmy Uso secured a win over the team of Solo Sikoa, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, “Big” Bronson Reed, and Tama Tonga inside the double-caged steel structure on November 30, 2024.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, Mark Henry revealed how he imagined The Rock’s return at Survivor Series. The WWE Hall of Famer envisioned a scenario where Dwayne Johnson, as the “High Chief,” would have challenged Roman Reigns’ Original Tribal Chief status.

The World’s Strongest Man proposed a storyline where The Final Boss would assume the role of the “taskmaster,” and assign Reigns tasks to earn a WWE WrestleMania spot.

“I was the guy that wanted to see The Rock show up [at Survivor Series] and go, ‘Well, so, you’re the Tribal Chief. Well, the Tribal Chief is beneath who I am, which is the High Chief.’ And there be some task, thrown your way. Make The Rock, the ‘taskmaster.’ ‘You want to go to WrestleMania? You either going to do what I tell you or you going to tell what I tell you,'” Henry said. [From 25:27 to 26:04]

Roman Reigns comments on a possible WWE dream match against The Rock

This year at The Showcase of The Immortals in Philadelphia, Reigns vs. Rock was initially planned to headline the event. However, Cody Rhodes reclaimed his WrestleMania main event spot from the former WWE Champion and ultimately finished his story.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Roman Reigns acknowledged the potential for a dream match against The Rock, indicating that it could happen if both parties were interested and the fans desired it.

“That goes to back to, there is a lot of meat on the bone. If Dwayne can’t come in and ‘boom, this is how it is,’ that’s when you know you’re cooking up with good ingredients. That’s why he is tied in the way he is and part of the board. We’re at an unprecedented time right now. Business is great and we want to continue to push things up. If that’s what the people want, and the People’s Champ is down, I’m sure we can make something happen,” said Roman Reigns.

It remains to be seen when The People’s Champion will return to WWE ahead of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
