WWE: WrestleMania 41 undergoes major card changes; see what changed

WWE’s historic RAW Netflix premiere on January 6 featured matches initially planned for WrestleMania 41, according to PWInsider. The event, held at LA’s Intuit Dome, showcased CM Punk versus Seth Rollins in the main event and Rhea Ripley capturing the Women’s World Championship from Liv Morgan.

The show, presented in a premium live event format, also featured Roman Reigns battling Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat opener. Special appearances from The Rock, The Undertaker, John Cena, and Hulk Hogan added to the event’s significance.

Punk and Rollins deliver memorable clash

The main event between CM Punk and Seth Rollins delivered an intense contest, marking Punk’s first RAW match in over a decade. The bout featured several notable moments, including both competitors using each other’s finishing moves – Rollins executing the GTS and Punk landing the Stomp.

After surviving a Pedigree on the announcer’s table, Punk secured victory with two consecutive GTS maneuvers. In a recent interview, Punk suggested their rivalry might continue:

I would love to say that I’m moving on to bigger and better things. I would love to be wrong about that, too. This is one of those [Hulk] Hogan-[Randy] Savage deals that is going to go on for as long as the beef has already been festering. Ten-plus years, we’re talking a decade here. I don’t think, even as big of a night, debuting on Netflix, and no matter how bright the lights are, this one is going to fester for a while.

Reports indicate Punk may challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, though the ongoing tension with Rollins suggests their story might not be finished.
