WWE’s latest decision about Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose): Why are fans upset?

Every now and then, WWE makes a decision that leaves fans debating. One may remember the time when the company asked the superstars to not use their in-ring name for online streaming purposes since the company owned the entity.

Recently, the Stamford-based promotion released a YouTube video named “WWE RAW FULL MATCHES marathons“. The company used the iconic Shield pose as the video’s thumbnail but cropped out Jox Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose). Considering the value Moxley has added to one of the most popular factions in WWE history, the company removing him from the thumbnail did not sit right with fans.

Fans have taken to social media to convey their reactions over the decision. While some agree that the company cannot promote a pro-wrestler working with the competition, others believe it’s quite the petty decision.

“Ahh the pettiness lives on,” wrote a fan.

“I mean they can’t promote him,” tweeted another.

WWE has interesting freedom with its move to Netflix

The upcoming episode of RAW on January 6th, 2024 will stream on Netflix. It will be the red show’s debut on the streaming platform, and the company has already set an interesting match card. Fans will witness Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa, Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso, Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan, and Seth Rollins vs.CM Punk. Furthermore, John Cena is expected to kick off his retirement tour as well among other surprises that Triple H may have planned for the show.

It so happens that there has been some confusion about the duration of WWE RAW on Netflix. Well, the Stamford-based promotion has the freedom of choosing between two and three hours based on the match card since the streaming platform provides the company with this freedom, dismissing any time constraints.

The debut show is supposed to run beyond three hours due to the immense star power that will be present on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW.
