Randy Orton’s Emotional Return and Confrontation at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023
After an absence of nearly a year and a half from the rings, Randy Orton made a notable return at Survivor Series: WarGames. In a WarGames Match, he teamed up with Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Seth Rollins, securing a victory against their opponents, The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre.
The event also witnessed an unexpected return of CM Punk to the company after a nine-year hiatus. Post-event footage revealed Seth Rollins expressing his anger towards Punk, captured by fans after the broadcast ended.
In a more personal moment, captured on Matt Kempke’s Vlog, Orton shared an emotional exchange with his wife, Kim, who was present at the event. Following this, he encountered Rhea Ripley, the WWE Women’s World Champion, in a brief, tension-filled moment. Ripley gestured to avoid conflict, and Orton exchanged a few words with her before moving on to greet the fans.
In another highlight of the night, Rhea Ripley successfully defended her Women’s World Championship against Zoey Stark. Despite Stark’s valiant effort, Ripley retained her title. Stark later hinted at a continued rivalry with Ripley through a succinct message on Twitter, stating, “Far from over.”
