Add as a preferred source on Google WWE backstage is in chaos following a new wave of releases that began last Friday (April 24), shaking the pro wrestling world just six days after WrestleMania 42.
This wave of cuts has, in truth, become an annual WWE practice, and this year was no different, hitting major names few fans expected to be let go.
Among the most shocking is The Wyatt Sicks, who recently lost their feud against MFT, which sealed the end of the group. Also released were Aleister Black and Zelina, who had been getting featured TV time. It’s an ironic turn, considering just a few weeks ago WWE was considering using them at WrestleMania 42 as Randy Orton’s mystery ally.
Finally, Kairi Sane also raised a lot of eyebrows among fans, since she had been appearing regularly on WWE TV alongside Asuka, who is in an active feud with IYO SKY. It will be interesting to see how WWE explains her absence going forward.
