Jade Cargill, who was defeated by Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42, has opened up about her transition to the WWE main roster, skipping NXT – the traditional path taken by most other female wrestlers.

Speaking in a recent interview with Joey Karni, Cargill admitted she struggled to adapt because of it. “The Storm” said the drastic change, especially to the schedule, was a real wake-up call.

“There’s a lot I feel like I missed out on by not going through NXT, and you only realize that when you’re actually living it.”

“But the schedule here is insane. I was used to working one day a week, and suddenly I’m on the move all the time, constantly. I remember when I was part of the tag team, I wouldn’t say I was complaining, because it was all new to me, but I’d think, ‘My God, we’re working this show, that show, and another one.’ I wasn’t used to that pace.”

“There’s also the locker room camaraderie and building trust with your coworkers. A lot of these women have years of history together, and I’m sitting there thinking, ‘I just met you guys.’ We don’t have that depth yet.”

As we previously reported, Cargill believes she won’t get a rematch for the Women’s Championship, given the current direction in WWE, where that has rarely been happening.
