3-Time AEW Champion Leaving Company? Situation Explained
Former three-time TNT Champion Wardlow expected to wrestle again after knee injury, with Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirming he remains under contract with AEW.

A new update has emerged regarding Wardlow’s status with AEW. The former three-time TNT Champion has not appeared on AEW television since Dynamite Big Business where he lost to Samoa Joe.
In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided information about Wardlow’s current situation. According to the report, Wardlow is booked for an independent show over WrestleMania weekend.
That would mean he expects to be able to wrestle after the knee injury that kept him out for a while
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also addressed speculation about his contract status with the promotion. Meltzer confirmed that despite his absence, Wardlow remains with the company.
It was multiple different shows that wanted to use AEW talent that week. Wardlow wrestling made people think there was more to it but Wardlow is still with AEW
Wardlow had been sidelined with a knee injury following his match against Samoa Joe. Prior to his injury, the 37-year-old wrestler had faced what the source described as “poor booking” in recent years, which reportedly affected his career progress negatively.
