4 current WWE factions that are flopping

Over the years, WWE has been home to several great factions. D-Generation X, NWO, and The Shield are just a few off the top of the head. Even today, the Stamford-based promotion has several factions functioning week in and week out.

However, not all of them are having the best time in WWE right now. While factions like The Bloodline, The Wyatt Sicks, and The D’Angelo Family are thriving, others are in a bit of a slump. So much so, that one might even say that they are flopping.

Some of these factions have been at the pinnacle of WWE, but have now fallen. Others, just haven’t hit the ground running. Either way, the struggle is real for them right now, which means their futures could be in jeopardy. So, without further ado, here are four current factions that are flopping.

#4. Legado Del Fantasma hasn’t been the same since the departure of LWO

First on the list is Legado Del Fantasma. Led by the ever-resourceful and incredibly talented Santos Escobar, the faction reached its peak at WrestleMania 40, where they feuded with Andrade and the LWO. Since then, they have been on a steady decline in WWE.

Outside of a United States Championship match for Escobar, and a brief rivalry between Los Garzas and the duo of Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews, the faction has done nothing. Some may even assume that they are a trio, seeing as Elektra Lopez has served as nothing more than a distraction during matches since joining the group. Something needs to change and fast, or they might just be disbanded.

#3. Pure Fusion Collective has done nothing in WWE since its formation

It has been three months since the trio of Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler have banded together. Forming the group, Pure Fusion Collective, many in the WWE Universe believed there was finally an all-female faction that could rival the likes of Damage CTRL. Unfortunately, the group has done little to nothing since its formation.

A match or two here, and a feud there, pretty much sums up what they’ve done thus far. Despite Deville promising Baszler and Stark opportunities and success, they have quite frankly failed to live up to expectations. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for them going forward.

#2. American Made has had one memorable feud thus far

When Chad Gable recruited the likes of Ivy Nile and the Creed Brothers to his side, many assumed that WWE was preparing to create a bigger and better version of Team Angle. Thus, American Made was formed, and their debut was nothing short of memorable. While they were on the losing side of things, they had a great feud with The Wyatt Sicks.

However, that is, unfortunately, all they have done so far. After serving as a foil for Uncle Howdy and Co, American Made has become irrelevant. Chad Gable is no closer to winning his first-ever singles title, while Ivy Nile and the Creed Brothers remain starved of any real opportunities. And it doesn’t look like things will change anytime soon.

#1. The Judgment Day just isn’t the same without Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley

Finally, we have the faction on the cover of this writing, The Judgment Day. The group made waves at SummerSlam, as they betrayed and exiled both Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. With that move, many assumed we would be moving into the next arc for the group, but so far, it has been nothing short of “meh”.

Finn Balor promised that the faction would return to being a family with no leaders, and would thrive without Priest and Ripley. However, in stark contrast, they don’t do anything together anymore. Dominik Mysterio is part of a trio with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, Balor and JD McDonagh have done nothing since before Bad Blood, and Carlito, well he is just there. At this point, there seems to be no direction for the group, and if there is, it seems unlikely to end well.

That being said, anything can happen in WWE, and things can change for these factions in a matter of moments. We will just have to wait and see.
