6-time WWE Champion hints at Royal Rumble appearance - "That's the ultimate goal"
Drew McIntyre declares for Royal Rumble, reveals plans to delay WrestleMania title decision while issuing stern warning to John Cena.
Drew McIntyre has revealed his intention to win the 2025 Royal Rumble match on February 1 in Indianapolis.
During an interview with The Babyfaces Podcast, The Scottish Warrior discussed his unique approach to pursuing championship gold, suggesting he might delay his decision on which champion to challenge until WrestleMania night.
That’s the ultimate goal—get the title and hold it for as long as I possibly can. But right now, I have very specific goals. I’ve mentioned before that my immediate focus isn’t on the titles. Sure, if I win the Rumble, I can pick whichever champion I want. But that’s not a priority right now. Maybe I’ll decide on WrestleMania night.
McIntyre issues warning to John Cena
McIntyre has also addressed John Cena’s Royal Rumble entry, expressing interest in a potential confrontation during the match.
Good luck. I want time on the microphone with him and I want that one-on-one match, and I’m going to make it happen, one way or another. Let’s just hope he doesn’t end up in the ring with me in the Rumble because the last person who got in my way at the Rumble last year and was aiming to main event WrestleMania was CM Punk, and I tore his tricep off the bone. I’ll maybe ask Cena to pick the muscle or pick the bone because I’m tearing it or breaking it.
